baby in neonatal unit was dressed up as a pumpkin
BABY'S FIRST HALLOWEEN - Valentina may be in the neonatal unit at Good Samaritan Hospital, but she's not missing out on Oct. 31 festivities. (HCA Healthcare)

Valentina, a baby who’s currently being cared for at Good Samaritan Hospital’s Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), turned into pumpkin for her first-ever Halloween on Earth.

“While Valentina isn’t quite ready to go home, she’s already touched so many hearts!” Dawn Bussey, communications and community engagement director at the HCA Healthcare facility. “Our NICU team is making sure this little sweetheart doesn’t miss out on the Halloween fun, surrounding her with extra love and a little seasonal magic.”

Good Sam’s Level III NICU provides specialized care for some of the hospital’s most vulnerable patients.

And “moments like these bring a little joy and normalcy to families during their hospital stay,” Bussey added in an email.
