biker hurt in traffic accident

A cyclist suffered head injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Los Gatos on Sunday morning, authorities said.

The bike was hit by a vehicle travelling along Blossom Hill Road around 11:30am, per the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

Santa Clara County Fire Department firefighters from the Shannon Fire Station responded to a report of a cyclist face down—and not moving—at 11:33am.

When Engine 82 arrived at the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Linda Avenue, they found a man with head injuries, SCCFD spokesperson Erica Ray said. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police are investigating the incident. Capt. Rebecca Albin confirmed it was an auto-bicycle accident with a man in his 60s and a female driver in her 40s.
