Two Los Gatos residents—a 44-year old woman and her 12-year-old daughter—died when their vehicle crashed along the San Tomas Expressway in Santa Clara, June 14.

Santa Clara Police Department officers responded to a report of a solo vehicle collision, just after 2pm, near Forbes Avenue.

Upon arrival, they discovered a white 2021 Tesla Model Y had hit a tree.

Both occupants were pronounced deceased by Santa Clara Fire Department paramedics.

Prior to the collision, the vehicle was seen traveling northbound on San Tomas Expressway approaching Forbes Avenue, police said.
