A musical, social and pedestrian experience replaced automobile traffic on Thursday evenings beginning July 1. The weekly event, known as The Promenade, will run through August 12.
Two musical stages bookend the stroll, which runs the length of N. Santa Cruz Avenue from Main Street to Bachman Ave.
The events have drawn attendees of all ages, from stroller babies and toddlers to silver-haired seniors.
Retailers placed merchandise racks on sidewalks and food establishments served meals and snacks in the open air environment. Among the most popular items was Frosé, a slushy drink made with rosé wine.
