Peninsula Symphony Orchestra

Pianist Natasha Paremski, performs with the Peninsula Symphony in a program of works including Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Mendelssohn’s Overture for Winds, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Throughout October, Discovery Shop Los Gatos, 39 E. Main St., is participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer by offering a 25% off discount coupon certificate good for 30 days to customers who make a $25 donation to the American Cancer Society.

Tierra Firma art exhibit

New Museum Los Gatos presents “Terra Firma,” an art exhibition about our relationship to the land, opening Oct. 21 and on view through March 19. “Terra Firma,” a group show organized by guest curator Marianne K. The Los Gatos Certified Farmers’ Market offers seasonal fruits and vegetables from Santa Clara County year-round. The Los Gatos Lions Club meets every Wednesday. A breakfast meeting is held at Moore Buick, 15500 Los Gatos Blvd., at 8am and a noon meeting at Los Gatos Lodge, 50 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road, with a guest speaker. The club has been active since 1946.
