Dear Editor,

I’m writing to share my personal opinion (and not speaking in my role as a Planning Commissioner). It looks like you got your facts wrong in the May 7 edition of the Los Gatan. Throwing Mary Badame and Matthew Hudes under the bus is without merit.

On March 4, our Housing Element reviewer from the Department of Housing and Community Development gave an OK for protecting six areas in Los Gatos from upzoning. The next day, it was the other three Council members who voted to reduce that to three.

In fact, this group of three Council members (in particular Rob Moore and Maria Ristow) has been pushing for more housing from the start. Look at their voting records.

There will be more important votes affecting our town coming up. Get involved.

Susan Burnett,

Los Gatos
