On Sunday, families headed up Old Santa Cruz Highway to join the search efforts for eggs strewn across the Nestldown property by the Easter Bunny.

A treasure hunt was also offered.

PRIZE – Ronin Scianna, 7, with his Axolotl figurine. Axolotl is a neotenic salamander that keeps its juvenile features into adulthood sometimes known as the “Peter Pan of salamanders.” Ronin found Axolotl inside an egg during Nestldown’s First Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. As previously reported by the Los Gatan, the special events venue has recently begun opening itself up to more local gatherings and public activities.
