Reporter and photojournalist Dinah Cotton pitched the idea for this week of a visual celebration of fathers in the community.
So, we sent her out into the field to see if she came across any interesting Father’s Day-style moments, given that the annual date on the calendar—June 15—was fast approaching.
That’s how she napped this fantastic photo that we decided to put on our front page.
And it really pops!
Not sure if you noticed, but this week was our first edition using the new “tab” size (aka, the paper format is slightly elongated, compared to the prior week).
This really helped to give this fun family photo some room to breathe on the page.
