As I was on a morning walk with my German shepherd, as people were waking up to the latest edition of the Los Gatan newspaper around 9am on Wednesday this week, I spotted a young coyote wandering around the neighborhood.
It stood out due to its smaller size and curious demeanor.
I captured these photographs near Blossom Hill Road and Union Avenue, not far from the Vista and Valley View Trailhead.

My neighbors were outside trying to get snaps of the wild animal, too.
Others rushed to ensure their own pets were safe inside their home.
