When Chris Mova holds client meetings in his office today, it’s a far cry from his early days offering legal advice at local swap meets. But this unconventional start helped shape his approach to personal injury law.

“The swap meets were my first office as such,” Mova recalls with a smile. “I had just started my practice and needed to connect with people who needed help.”

His path to law began with personal tragedy. At age seven, a car accident left him with a traumatic brain injury and a severe stutter. His immigrant parents, who had fled the Middle East during the revolution, accepted a quick insurance settlement. It was a decision that would leave them struggling with years of speech therapy bills.

“That experience showed me how insurance companies take advantage of vulnerable families,” says Mova. “It’s why I decided to become a lawyer.”

Now, with offices across California from San Diego to Sacramento and San Francisco, Mova takes a distinctly different approach from most personal injury firms. While others focus on volume, his firm maintains a small caseload to ensure personal attention for each client.

The results speak for themselves. Recently, Mova secured a $450,000 settlement for a case that four other firms had rejected as worthless. Such victories have earned him a reputation among Los Gatos residents as the lawyer to call when other firms say no.

“I’m not interested in being the biggest firm,” Mova explains from his Los Gatos office. “I want to be known as the firm that fights for clients other lawyers have turned away.”

For someone seeking legal representation for personal injury, Mova’s message is clear: “Don’t let a moment of vulnerability compromise your future. Take the time to understand your rights.”
