The District noted that during the presentation:

-The preparation for and execution of the AP Exams are the largest coordinated event of the district with support from facilities, technology, and numerous staff.

-LGSUHSD offers an average of 22.5 AP courses per school (the national average is 10 courses per school).

50.5% of all district students took AP exams in the Spring of 2025 (that’s about a 2.7% increase over the previous 2023-2024 school year).

93% district students scored a 3 or higher on their AP exam (the national average is 60%).

-The average AP exam score for LGHS and SHS students is 4.14 (the national average is 3.12).

Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department’s School Resource Office (SRO) Jonathan Reyes and Santa Clara County Sheriff School Resource Officer Deputy Brandon Perez shared an overview of the SRO program at each school.

The School Resource Officers (SRO) are law enforcement officers assigned to both Los Gatos and Saratoga High Schools to provide safety and security, build positive relationships between law enforcement and the school community, and serve as a resource for students, staff, and parents.

In addition to safety and security, SROs work with students on providing education on topics such as eBike safety and illegal drug use prevention.
