Anne Hamilton Jaekel passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024 in her home in Rocklin, California.
She was born on October 10, 1950 in Tampa, Florida to loving artist parents, Howard and Virginia Jaekel. The family, including older sister Susan, moved to Portland, Oregon and later settled in Stockton, California. Anne attended Lincoln High School and received a B.A. in Art from Long Beach State in 1973. After moving to the Bay Area, she worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and technical artist. Anne’s striking beauty led to many modeling assignments as well.
She resided in Los Gatos, California in the 1970’s and 80’s, purchasing a condominium and had many friends here. She gave birth to her son, Jace Jaekel Ugalde, in 1989. Anne bought a home in Roseville, California, where she and Jace enjoyed a large backyard filled with animals and the beautiful gardens she created. Anne was an immensely talented person, especially gifted in ceramics and sold her creations on Etsy.
She passionately loved her family, was a faithful friend, a beautiful woman who loved animals and had a strong faith in God. She is deeply missed and survived by her son Jace Ugalde, sister Susan Jaekel, brother-in-law Rick Guidice and many dear friends.
Anne is gone from our sight, but forever in our hearts.
