The Los Gatos Rowing Club (LGRC) delivered one of the strongest performances in club history at the 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota, Florida, capturing four national titles, winning multiple additional medals and placing more crews in championship finals than any other club in the country.

Competing against the nation’s top youth rowing programs, LGRC advanced 11 crews to the finals, the highest number of championship-final appearances among all participating clubs.

LGRC crews won four national championships:

• Men’s Youth Second Varsity Quad (2V 4x): Cameron Degraff, Kealan Chiu, Matthieu Boillet, and Matthew Willey

• Women’s Youth Second Varsity Quad (2V 4x): Julia Valencia, Sophia Juarez, Libby Forrest and Lucy Wright.

• Women’s Youth Quad (4x): Aretha Liu, Chloe Stopfod, Jenna Yoder and Anika Phadnis.

• Men’s Youth Four (4-): Aleksander Shetler, Nico Della Ratta, Emmett King and Dominik Bera.

The club also earned two silver medals and one bronze medal:

• Men’s Youth Four with Coxswain (4+): Silver Medal.

• Men’s U16 Eight (8+): Silver Medal.

• Women’s U17 Quad (4x): Bronze Meda.

The results capped a remarkable season for LGRC. Earlier this year, the club finished second overall at the USRowing Southwest Junior Regional Championships while winning the Men’s Team Points Trophy and qualifying 20 boats for the national championships.

The 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships were held June 11–14 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, bringing together the nation’s top high school rowing athletes who earned qualification through regional championship regattas.
