The nomination period for most offices participating in the Nov. 5 Presidential General Election has closed, but some candidates may still have time to submit their papers for those districts where the current officeholder didn’t file, County elections officials noted Tuesday.

Those interested in running for office may have one last chance to put their name forward. That’s because, for offices in which the incumbent didn’t file, the nominations period has been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at 5p.m.

The following local offices are currently in the nominations extension period for the November 5, 2024 Presidential General Election:

City Offices

  • City of Campbell/Council Member, District 1
  • City of Los Altos/Council Members, at-large (3 seats)
  • Town of Los Altos Hills, Council Members, at-large (3 seats)
