Upon the release of the initial Santa Clara County voting data tonight, the Los Gatos Union School District bond measure was at 66.59% (6,333 votes). It would generate $163 million in bonds to upgrade school classrooms, safety and security systems, and heating and electrical systems—and come with a levy of $30 per $100,000 of assessed value.

“Measure CC” requires a 55% majority to pass.

Meanwhile, for the Saratoga Union School District board (with two seats avaialble), Melissa Stanis was leading with 38.66% of the vote (3,378 votes), followed by Ramya Vasu at 25.7% (2,254), then Jingyuan Huang at 23.08% (2,024).

Carol Ann Somersille, Julia E. Miller and John Zoglin were poised to lock down the three available director openings at El Camino Health.

The Lakeside Joint School District parcel tax was at 63.78% (125 votes).

Known as “Measure HH,” it would renew the $647 parcel tax for eight years. However, it requires 66.67% of the vote to pass.

Lakeside school officials said the money would help the school avoid closing, help the district attract and retain highly qualified teachers and protect core academic programs like reading, writing, math and science.

Terry Hines was leading Juan Rodriguez by 144 votes in Campbell’s District 1 contest.

Sam Liccardo held 58.92% of the vote (76,604) in the District 16 Congressional race, ahead of Evan Low, who was at 41.08% (53,411)
