District Attorney Jeff Rosen is asking Santa Clara County high school students to create and submit original art that helps the DA’s Office fight online crimes like fraud, catfishing, and cyberbullying.
The winner will receive $1,500. The second-place winner will receive $1,000. The third-place winner will receive $500.
Original art mediums are welcome: paint, pencil, charcoal, photography, graphic design, etc. Details regarding the submissions and contest rules are available on the DA’s Office website.
Prosecutors say while smart phones have changed the world, they’ve also paved the way for online fraud, extortion, exploitation and harassment.
“We in Silicon Valley are in unique place to help create technology and fight against tech crime,” Rosen said. “I want high school students to join me in raising awareness about smartphone cybercrime and help our community members stay safe from online crime.”
All Santa Clara County high school students are invited to submit their original work by Monday, Jan. 13. Winners will be announced on Jan. 31, on the District Attorney’s website and Facebook page.
In addition to the cash prize, the first-place winner’s original work will be featured prominently on the DA’s Office website, as well as in other venues. The top three winners will also be honored at an awards ceremony.
All entrants who do not place will receive a Starbucks gift card.
The prize money comes from the District Attorney’s Asset Forfeiture funds.
“We are re-purposing seized criminal assets and using them to promote awareness and fight crime,” Rosen said.
D.A. Jeff Rosen is not being honest about his goals. I say this because I have reported to him that my former attorney, Valerie Houghton, is hacking, stalking and assaulting me. She is also sex trafficking all of my kids.
Instead of offering me and my kids protection, Rosen opted to file charges AGAINST ME. I did not even commit a crime. He is doing this to discredit all of my claims and provide absolution to the attorney.
Rosen just doesn’t care about what happens to other people’s children. He only knows how to fake it with contests and press releases.

Ms. Houghton is not even shy about what she is doing. She has posted many threats on social media, as well as statements indicating pro pedophilia views.
It shouldn’t matter if D.A. Rosen is friends with her. He should have protected my kids and done something to stop her.
Rosen has done this to many other families. When Daya Baran caught an in-law molesting his daughter, he was also charged with a crime, separated from his child, and poisoned.

It also happened to Violet Brooks. She begged and begged Rosen to protect her daughters. He just ignored her.

If you live in Santa Clara County and have children, please consider moving elsewhere. You never know if someone with connections has eyes for your kids.
I don’t understand how any district attorney could allow such egregious misconduct to occur in their community. Child molestation and physical assaults should never be tolerated.
You will never address all crime. But when serious criminality comes to the attention of the D.A., it is imperative that it be dealt with. We rely on Mr. Rosen to set a moral example to not only the rest of the attorneys in his office, but also to the rest of the community.
Jeff Rosen simply does not care about victims. You can see what happened to Paul Gackle after he was stabbed 22 times. After he complained about the mishandling of the case, Mr. Gackle was denied the victim services that he was entitled to receive
